For many of us the Rahway Theater, affectionately remembered as the Rahway Movies, played a major part in our childhood and teenage years.

I’m sure you remember the 25 cent Saturday afternoon double features in the 50’s and the theater packed with 1,000+ screaming kids; Goober’s, Raisinets and Good N Plenty boxes turned noise makers, the feature race raffle and prize toys during intermission (I won one time), the bright light from the side door opening, kids running in, ushers frantically trying to keep things under control, and the German Lady manager. (What was her name?)
